Peggy worked for a newspaper in Stamford, CT, just out of high school. At the Stamford Advocate, she was a morgue librarian and writer of theatrical reviews and feature articles. Later, and throughout her years at IBM Corporation in operations management, corporate marketing communications, and events production, Peggy continued to hone and expand her writing skills.

After leaving IBM in the mid-2000s, Peggy freelanced as a writer and communications specialist for companies such as GAB Robins, MasterCard Worldwide, and Brooklyn Healthcare. She earned her certification in copyediting from MediaBistro and has edited articles, newsletters, and books for various business owners, non-profits, and authors. She was also the content manager and primary writer for Atlantic Beach Living, a monthly print publication for Atlantic Beach, FL residents.
